We spent some time finding a seafood place in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. Found this restaurant and ordered the chef’s entree platter: the Coffin Bay oysters were lightly crumbed and quite large, crunchy pork and prawn spring rolls perfectly cooked with a succulent dipping sauce, the platter as a whole worked quite well.The highlight was Seafood bbq mains consisting of moreton bay bug, mooloolaba king prawns, salmon, hervey bay scallops, orange and shaved radish coleslaw, fresh chives, aioli, house cut fries. Fish was cooked perfectly & went well with a slice of lemon; the sides were tasty and i was a big fan of the chips! Our dessert was a maffra cloth aged cheddar with accompaniments. A lovely way to finish a very fulfilling meal! We paired it all with Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc, a very smooth and rich wine to perfectly complement the seafood. Service was excellent and plenty of room for dining. 4.0 / 5
Was struggling to find a restaurant in Mooloolaba with an extensive seafood menu (who would have thought). This place was a treat, we shared Oysters Kilpatrick and for our mains had the BBQ Seafood Platter and Barramundi special. Delicious fresh seafood and well priced, with excellent attentive service.
Came in on a Saturday night (pre-celebrate mother’s day) lucky we booked, it was filled with people. But surprisingly all the food comes in really quick, everything was hot and nice. So I think the must order should be the BBQ seafood plate!!! Got a piece of salmon (nicely grilled) half a bug, some prawns and scallops and plenty of salad. I can totally see why every table must have one person order this plate =)
Brilliant service, making us feel right at home. They even allowed us to split their MASSIVE bouillabaisse dish into two still-sizeable dishes on separate plates. The only thing preventing a well-deserved five-star rating was the price.
Great seafood, especially the seafood chowder thing. Salmon was good too. Very friendly staff & quick service. Kids menu had sufficient choices & pasta marinara good size.
