Dropped in as felt like fish and chips. Wasn’t disappointed. Generous portions of fish, calamari and chips and the cost was very reasonable. Fed four of us for about $60.
If you are looking for cheap and fresh seafood, this is the place. You can have fish and chips and also fresh seafood such as spanner crab, mud crap, crayfish and Mooloolaba prawns. Grab them and go to second floor, take a beer or white wine and enjoy the sea view.
Could be better! Seafood freshness and cleanliness absolutely 100%. Service 75% – the guy in the fresh seafood was uber helpful and couldn’t do enough for you (100%). The woman on the till in the cooked section was less than friendly (50%). Fresh seafood 70% oysters were good but not great. Prawns were undoubtedly fresh but cooked in way too salty a water so lacked that fresh clean taste. Prices 25% -too expensive for what you get. Probably ok for Sunny Coast but more expensive than the Goldy or Melbourne where we usually get our seafood. Cooked food – 50% chips very average, fish, relatively expensive and small portions, calamari really well done and large serving. Would I go back? Probably not by choice but given lack of real competition, might just have to.
