At best a cheap eat. The rice was Australian and reheated. The Gyoza tasted like the frozen packet stuff. Also had Chicked Karaage. It was coated in a flavourless mix.Owners are pleasant. But their only connection with Japanese cooking is that they are Japanese. Maybe that’s something since there are many Chinese and Koreans in the same game.
The food I’ve had here hasn’t been bad but then I don’t have much experience with Japanese food. The sushi is nice, their soba noodle soup was okay. I don’t have any complaints and since it’s cheap I would go back for more.
Good cheap food. Very good value for money, we spent $25 between two people and were both very full. Fresh and tasty food, good service and a simple and clean dining area.
Sakura is one of the coasts best cheap eats. Japanese owners & chef make simple clean Japanese cafe food like agadashi & goyza that is budget and great eating. This is our weekly haunt and we never grow tired of it. Buderim’s best kept secret. Lloyd
