The caf has a very homey feel, with beautiful timber floors and an abundance of different types of pot plants scattered throughout. Just next to the caf is an art workshop space which they open up and use to seat patrons on the busier weekends. As the size of the caf is on the smaller side, if you’re planning to come in a big group it would be in your interests to call up and book to avoid missing out!Now I must admit, I’m a sucker for breakfast. The menu at French Twist is honestly a breakfast lovers heaven (so I have obviously been back a couple of times). As well as their breakfasts, they sell vegan sourdough that is made daily. They also have a cabinet that is home to an array of sweet treats, ranging from lemon meringue slices to chocolate croissants, perfect for that post-breakfast sugar hit *drooling*.We ordered a latte in a cup ($4.50) and a freshly squeezed orange juice ($8.50) to start. Although the juice looked and tasted fantastic, for such a steep price we thought the glass could have been a bit bigger. Now on to the food: Firstly, we ordered the Haloumi which has haloumi, roasted pumpkin, 2 poached eggs, pesto, avocado, local greens and eastern Mediterranean Zaatar on their freshly baked vegan sourdough ($19.00), with a side of sauted mushrooms ($5.00). The meal was very tasty and made me feel like I was eating somewhat healthy (minus the haloumi, but we all have our guilty pleasures right!?). Also, the eggs were to die for!..For the rest of the review and more photos check out: foodspaceaus.com/blog/breakfast-french-twistThanks so much! foodspaceaus.com

Menu looked amazing!!! BUT…I went home and got sick. So bummed because it looked good. So confused how roasted cauliflower is deep fried? Unless I misread the menu. They told me this was the healthiest dish. Guess it was very low cal since it all came up. Hubby loved his! I ordered my son the brioche from adults menu and pointed to it and he got something very sugary and could let eat it all (thank goodness) – sugar overload. We were leaving straight for soccer 🙁 would I try again? 2 of 4 were amazing!! 2 of 4 were total bomb.

French Twist (Bulimba) is a real hidden gem, in my humble opinion. The food quality is WAY ABOVE what you might expect for a cafe – I love their food and have never had a bad meal here, and it’s all reasonably priced. They are handy with the coffee machine too, and have delicious pastries. Service is very friendly and efficient, and the setting is chilled and quiet (located, as it is, on a suburban cul de sac). Fully rate this place if you are looking for a more standout cafe in Bulimba.
