We went on a Thursday night so it wasnt super busy. The guacamole dip was to die for as was the poppers. I had the chicken Chimichanga which when it came out looked like a hard pastry but inside was the most moist tender tasty meat I was so pleasantly surprised.Sangria was delicious although I was looking for the fruit effect but alas it just came out as liquid. My sister had the tostada bowl which was amazing and my brother had the chicken mole burrito which was nice but not blow your socks off.I really enjoyed the food, but I do feel its a bit hit or miss depending on what you have. Would have been nice to have different spicy sauces to use, and feel like it lacked the little touches.Overall though I thoroughly enjoyed it.
After watching a movie at the Balmoral Cineplex cinemas in Bulimba we needed a bite to eat and felt a need for Nachos. We headed for La Quinta and on Saturday night all the tables were full. After a while a table became free and we sat down. It was super loud and quickly ordered. We decided on the chilli con carne Nachos and a glass on Sangria.The meal came out in a reasonable time frame, but when I saw the presentation of the nachos I was disappointed. No melt cheese visible and No love, just plonked in a dish!The Sangria was ok, but nothing to rave about.I was expecting the chilli con carne sauce to at least have a slight kick of chilli but alas it was very vert mild and frankly disappointing.Very poor, dont think I will be back in a hurry.
We used to love going to this restaurant but last night we went to dinner and were not impressed! Staff were friendly but my daughter had hair cooked into the chicken in her meal. When we let them know they changed her meal but it came back very fast. We had a feeling it was the same meal! Also I noticed the white plates were black from age, like old china goes. Maybe they should look at getting new plates. We all went home feeling not right. Will never go back!!
