I would like to say a very big thank you to the amazing staff that looked after our quite large group of 50 on Saturday night for my son’s 21st Birthday. From the initial discussions and booking with Josh, to the table set up, and service on the night is definitely 5 star! Now to the very helpful and patient Lena. Thank you! You were amazing, helpful, and proffessional and made sure the whole night flowed beautifully. The food platters were tasty and hot, and empty platters only mean one thing.. Good food! Many of our guests also commented on just how great Lena and the venue Oxford 152 was to host such a memorable and important night for our family and friends! Thanks again guys, just fabulous!
The manager will reply to this review claiming that I have the wrong restraunt….. But I dont Josh Bibby…… Im not a liar like you mate….The chefs in this dump are the most horrible people I have ever seen. The entire time we were sitting in this hole the chefs gobbed off about their personal lives. The older chef and the chef with the beard right behind the bar kept talking about their sex lives which made our stomachs churn. The food was cold, small, and in one dish – completley under cooked. Perhaps if the chefs concentrated more on their jobs rather then their sex lives this place might have a fighting chance. Both chefs were not wearing hair nets or hats of any kind, so we probably ate their hair as well. Very disappointed!
We went for the pub quiz and went hungry so tucked into some standard but tasty pub grub. I had the Portuguese chicken, which was juicy and flavourful. I had everyone stealing the sweet potato chips off my plate, so crispy, and I loved the chargrilled corn. The chicken parmi was huge and still was finished because it was so good. Those who had the steaks said they were cooked well but the sides available weren’t as exciting so they wished they’d picked something else. Definitely recommend the pub quiz, lots of fun rounds and mini games, and we’re not just biased because we came 2nd!
Food is good, there was a mix up with our booking but they managed to fit us in. There has been a couple of times that we have seen security acting inappropriately toward patrons which is disappointing as it was once a great local place.
I went to this place once. Actually, I don’t wanna go there anymore, I’ve tried the rump steak, was ok, but the table service was terrible, my order arrived at my table so late, around 45 min after a made the order and the staffs didn’t care about that.
Nice venue, great for a few beers and cocktails. However, i expected better from the food. Table service was not great, the impression I got from the wait staff is that what I was a inconvenience rather than a paying customer.
At these prices I expected more. If you re going to use a microwave to heat something up at least heat it the whole way through. The gnocchi and pork belly we’re barely edible. Semi positive s – Pizza we had was a 2/5. Service was decent from one worker.
