Don’t often eat chips but out of curiosity, as the Meatballs and Beef Cheeks family recommended them, I had to try them. The chips are better then most fish and chips places but I like them a bit crispier. So don’t have to high expectations and you won’t be disappointed. I would think there are better chips in Brisbane. Every pub who serves a good steak should have better chips then that. Most definitely every French restaurant as well.
BEST CHIPS IN BRISBANE!It was total luck that I happened upon Oxford Fish and Chips five years ago. For my money, they have the best chips in Brisbane. Not only that, but you tell them how much you want to spend and they’ll increase the size of your order accordingly (wrapped in paper with just the right amount of salt). I’ve driven all the way to Bulimba to pick up several large orders to bring to BBQ’s and everyone is always glad that I did. The rest of the menu is quite forgettable and the overall rating would be much lower if it weren’t for the fact that their chips are amazing!
