Busy bakery so don’t really get a friendly welcome. Mixed review on the bakery treats – Some of the cupcakes are delicious, others not so good. Food looks better than it tastes. Disappointed with the red velvet. Banana bread is nice but then again it’s only banana bread.
Not as good as it was.. I live locally and going here was always a treat. It now feels like it has changed hands. The food looks great and so far I have been pleased but the store itself isn’t as inviting. It doesn’t look as clean and not as much pride being taken in the first impression type things. If things things improve I will definately continue to frequent it.
Great local bakery! Ruined by bad front of house staff.. Big friendly personality’s is all you need. Be friendly to old and new customers . Easy to fix if you care?
A quick cake fix….. Quite often visit this great little bakery to pick up cakes etc for entertaining, but while I was there over the weekend I picked up a loaf of olive sour dough bread to try and and it was fresh and tasted great! Served with olive oil and balsamic..yum! The vanilla sponge birthday cake I picked up was fresh and tasty as well. Found all the staff to be really friendly as well which was an added bonus….would definitely keep going back!
No never again. Was once my go to bakery but after hearing the staff complain loudly about their customers wanting something they didn’t have made up I will not go back. I was sitting outside and could hear quiet clearly what they were saying, even with road noise and other customer noise. Not a great look for a bakery that might have nice food but is over priced and clearly has rude and obnoxious staff.
I clicked like for the oxford street bakery but I do have an issue with their coffee.Good coffee at the oxford street bakery is not consistent. I’m a regular customer who buys beautiful bread daily but I will now only order my coffee if there is a certain barista on, (i know i am not the only one who does this) I got tired of drinking a beautifully made creamy rich coffee one day by one girl – a burnt, tasteless, too-hot-to-drink coffee the following day by different girl. Other than this I love this little bakery and would not dare to buy my bread elsewhere !!
Great Bakery, but…. I have very mixed feelings about this place. I have ticked that I like it because their cakes are amazing. If I need to buy a cake for something special, this place is the first place I go. I have never bought a bad cake, cup cake or loaf of bread from this place. Always great quality. However, it is expensive for a bakery, the staff are (or were) rude and the coffee isn’t very good. I too experienced the wrath of the former owner. For me, this place is a little bit like the Soup Kitchen from Seinfeld. The product is great, but you run the gauntlet of having someone ruin your day with bad manners and poor service and yelling ‘no cake for you!’. I hope the new owners can improve on that. I will, however, keep running the gauntlet. The baked cheesecake and red velvet cakes are just to die for!
