Not really a fan of Bulimba but I thought would try this place out with friends. Great Tapas, friendly and helpful staff. Big fan of the drinks menu too!
Terrible staff members, forgot drinks which we paid for, when asking for iced water grunted use the jug (did not even tell where the jug was) when requested again with ice from tap it was slammed down on table. Much better places to go in Bulimba than this one, will choose another over this next time. Would not recommend
I have been to the Upper Deck many times and the atmosphere and food is always great! The staff are friendly and it’s great to see that the menu is always changing and is definitely unique and delicious!
Great bar situated in a great location. Friendly pricing on drinks and food. I just had drinks but I’m super keen to come try some food next time! Great view. Good place for arvo drinks with mates!
Went on Monday night for the wings night. Ordered two kinds of wings buffalo and orange teriyaki both were served cold and drenched in sauce, with no taste of flavour. Ordered Zucchini with sundried tomato crumb , again served cold and the crumb was soft not crunchy and tasteless. The jalapeo poppers may have saved it but no the sauce on side was terrible. And lastly the coyote balls, by this stage all I could wish for was roadrunner to appear! Severely disappointed
We came here on a Saturday night. We had booked a table but the first challenge was getting a staff member to make eye contact so we could announce our arrival. Finally we got seated and the staff member was very friendly. The second challenge was ordering. I stood at the counter while staff buzzed around as if I wasn’t there. Finally, a friendly male approached and took my order. The marinated artichokes arrived as an entree. I expected them to be fresh artichokes but they weren’t and the whole dish was too vinegary. It left a sharpness in the back of the mouth that almost took my breath away. Another in our group had the soft shell crab which was nice. Our seafood paella arrived. I expected it to look fantastic but the squid ink created a black mass. Even the prawns in their shells were completely black and this meant that so were our hands as we shelled them. Crazy. There were no vegetables, just rice and seafood so not very authentic. It would have been better as a side dish. We got the serving for 2 but it could have served 4 with a couple of other dishes. We couldn’t finish it. I was still cleaning under my nails the next day. The venue was lovely and had a great vibe but it was noisy and the service could be better.
Popped in for some after work drinks – the sangria was amazing! Got a pizza to share with the table which was so good that we ordered a second.
