Firstly the location of this restaurant is prime. Sitting out on the balcony looking across the river at sunset is an experience within itself. The service couldn’t be faulted. Our waiter had everything on point. I ordered the pork belly and my partner the lamb rack. The pork belly was sweet and tender but unfortunately lacked crispy skin. This is my favourite part about pork belly, however the plum sauce and vegetables were perfect. My partner enjoyed his lamb rack and there was definitely no lack of sauce to accompany it in a side bowl. This is a great idea putting the sauce to the side. A suggestion would be having mash with the lamb so you could soak up the sauce. The lamb was cooked perfectly to my partners liking. He loved the minted peas as well. Both meals were presented nicely but our favourite part was the dessert. My partner ordered Creme brûlée whilst I ordered the chocolate volcano. His was beautiful creamy and had that delicious caramelised shell like it should whilst mine was melt in your mouth. The white chocolate, ice cream and raspberry coulis accompaniments made mine a chocolate lovers delight. When you broke into the pudding a beautiful chocolate lava awaited. Overall we had a very enjoyable night!

It is a shame to rate this one down as the location and view is wonderful – for dinner, get a table facing South along the river as the sunset is wonderful and the stream of flying fox, flying up the river just adds a level of wonder. Now while our initial waitress was pleasant, the fellows that were the managers, I presume, where disinterested and came across as bored – they proceeded to loudly pull all blinds down around the deck early, on what was a wonderful spring evening in what seemed to be an attempt to get everyone clearing out early – the food was ‘ok’ and wine cellar average – when we asked for cheese at the end of the evening we were asked if we wanted a selection of 3 cheeses, to which we agreed and were then presented with one large chunk of cheddar. Simply, nice location and ok food – unfortunately crap management.

Breakfast awful, coffee very poorly made. Ordered roast vege stack with zucchini fritters and got my meal with my toast missing, floury pamcakes with hardly any zucchini in them and a hash brown (not freshly cooked). None of the food was hot. They don’t stock soy milk so I had to drink my underextracted coffee black.

Enjoyed lunch at H20. The waiting time was about 25mins but worth the wait. All meals were cooked to perfection and delivered by a very customer friendly waiter. The view from the restaurant was beautiful and matched the overall experience from this restaurant. Highly recommended
