Yep she’ll do. Definitely a 3.5 but just can’t push the 4. It’s a standard pub bistro and the food is plentiful and what you would expect. Plastic chairs, plenty of room, drunks in the corner, lots of beer, not bad wine.
We’ve eaten and had drinks at the spotted dog a fair few times and it’s always incredible but we had one last leaving meal here before moving on travelling and it was even better than previous times. Chicken was tender and so tasty, potato wedges seemed to have an even bigger portion and my partners fish was really good.
This place is very busy so you might want to consider reserving. Looking around, the meals looked pretty big and there is a large menu to choose from. I had the curries prawns with rice and broccoli and my dining partner had the same but garlic butter flavoured. We both thought the food was pretty bland and lacked flavour. Friendly service.
