Ordered an açai bowl from Burleigh Tropicana over the weekend and enjoyed it, nothing overly special but fresh and filling. The cafe was doing a good trade which meant we had to wait a little but enjoyed the spot in the middle of Burleigh.

Australia is said to be food lover’s delight and yet we were not able to find a place that was delicious as well as pocket friendly(all Indians can understand my dismay over currency conversion rate dilemma lol!!). And then on Christmas day when most of the other shops were closed we found this casual looking joint right opposite to Burleigh Beach bus stop.If you are big on the ambiance and look and feel then well this might not be a good option but if good food is the only priority then you are in the right place mate.We ordered the classic fish and chips(dory & Barramundi) and I must say inspite of not being much of a sea food lover I was stumped by its taste. It was excellent in all accounts. Next we decided to try out the chicken parmigiana and I must say if you visit the place you must try it at all cost. All the flavours blended in perfect harmony with the tender chicken and we loved it to bits.Later in our next visit to the place we also tried the fisherman’s basket which came with an assortment of sea food and Ceasar salad as side along with some roasted chicken.While the former was perfect , roasted chicken was a tad bit too salty for my taste.In general service was quite kind of ok. The place had a casual vibe to it but good enough to satisfy your hunger after a lazy day at the beach without burning a hole into your pocket.Food 4.5/5Service 3.5/5Ambiance 3/5
Cheerful staff but the fish and chips was so overcooked and dry. Pity! Â I will not go back again. The worst fish and chips ever we tasted!! Good location though.
