Really enjoyed my experience at JFK! Loved the outside seating in the open air with the fairy lights. Was beautiful even in winter with the heaters on. I had the seafood linguini which was to die for. Beautiful amount of seafood – scallops, prawns, fish, calamari. My friend had the pork belly which she also said was lovely, although maybe a touch too salty. All over our experience was great and we will definitely return

We were invited to a group dinner here. It was hard to find, as it seems to be down a driveway with a small sign. (We were approaching at night time, so perhaps we missed other signage.)Anyway, this place has a great, trendy vibe to it, I expected an American style pizza place, which it is not. The decor is great, cosy and hip, with emphasis on the kitchen and its big pizza oven at work. There is an inviting bar area at one end, big tables in the centre and a pretty outdoor marquee area, which was being used for a large group booking. Our hosts had booked ahead as this seems to be necessary. Those who hadn’t booked were invited to use the bar area to wait. We didn’t see any impatient people there though! Some of our group were running late & we were invited to order some entrees while we waited. Good idea – we had a garlic pizza which easily served 4 as an entree. The trio of dips & turkish bread was also a really good size. While this is a wood fire pizza restaurant, we chose pasta dishes, chicken fettuccine carbonara for me, gnocci with bolognaise sauce with added chilli. My pasta was very enjoyable, he wasn’t as happy with his, describing the gnocci as underdone and the bolognaise, dolloped on top, nothing special. The chilli was in a dish on the side, not cooked through.Everyone else in our group had pizzas, especially the roast pumpkin one, as well as the meat lovers, pork belly & bbq chicken. These were a generous size, most took a few slices home with them. The table next to us had a fabulous looking salad, also a generous meal sized serve.Next time, I would order that salad and a 1/2, 1/2 pizza for the two of us to share.Service was good. You order drinks at the bar, including mostly boutique beers, which were enjoyable. We were also offered drinks while at the table. We did the get feeling they were keen to reuse our table before we were quite ready, not surprisingly, as the place was full.We also noticed a steady stream of people collecting take away pizzas. The system for paying the bill was great for a group, you pay for your items at the end & the waiter marks it off the account. Easy peasy.Would visit again and book ahead.
