Went on a Saturday evening and it was busy but not packed. It’s tucked away in a small suburb near burleigh. Good food, but slightly pricy. They have specials that make it more worth it such as the Waygu aburi for 9.90. The salmon ship was 19.90. The menu on zomato is slightly out dated as their prices on their in house menu are higher. Overall, decent food if you are willing to spend a little coin!

Wazen never disappoints. Garlic prawns – amazing. Octopus balls – amazing. Gyoza – amazing. Main meals always yummy. Teriyaki prawn and vegetable udon noodles is my favourite. Japanese chicken curry also delicious. Never had a bad meal here
Wazen is a charming little restaurant in an accessible location. It provides value dining and delightful service; and you certainly won’t go away hungry! Watch out for the chef’s specials. They provide exciting excursions off the menu with dishes such as Gold band snapper and seared scallop with Japanese seaweed miso risotto, or Gooralie Free Range Pork Belly with pumpkin purée and star anise on a bed of cabbage, apple and almond slaw.
Great local find. Loved this little place. Lovely vibe and staff, great food which is well priced and really appreciated the kids play area so we could eat in peace whilst our toddler played. Just wish they had a miso eggplant dish!
