The edible food was overpriced. I understand that it’s a tourist location but when you pay top dollar you don’t expect skimp out on ingredients.
My third trip here and relieved the store still open. Lived in Japan and this is authentic – a Japanese chef! Wish this shop was in Melbourne! Well priced I think for the servings and can tell it is great when I’m sitting here surrounded by Japanese customers.
Teppan chicken was alright, dipping chips in the sauce was very tasty though!bf ordered kaisen don, i don’t eat sashimi so not sure how it tasted, he said it was so so. There wasn’t much rice, dont think one’d be full after only eating this.

Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing presentation, very cool chill ambience, the teriyaki and avocado sushi roll is delicious, ask for extra japanese mayo because it’s amazing!
Deep fried chicken is AMAZING! Crunchy but tender! Plum wine is spectacular and i continuously went there in two days! Authentic Japanese food! I love it.
We had Sashimi platter (would have been more enjoyable if slices were thicker), Chicken Karage & Nori Ramen! I enjoyed my meal compared to all the other Japanese Restaurants I’ve tried in Cairns. Setup in a cosy traditional restaurant. Staff here is very friendly and courteous.
