A lovely restaurant along the Cairns esplanade. Me and Keiran came in for lunch and sat on the patio area which had a nice view of the inlet. Staff was very helpful when we were choosing wine and food options. This restaurant is a great option for seafood lovers.-Prawn and Moreton Bay Bugs Combo plate ($40): Pretty good, but a bit pricey in my opinion-Pacific Fusion ($34.90): a curry-like dish with an awesome variety of seafood! Yummy and good portion size for the price!
If there was a 6 star rating, I would’ve given it to The Raw Prawn. This is probably Cairns best seafood restaurant. Offering you all the various sea food delicacies available, even the ambience is welcoming and comfortable.Slightly on the pricey side, the raw prawn has both outdoor and indoor seating. We ordered the crab and a prawn with bugs main course. We also ordered prawn dumplings for starters along with some beautiful cocktails. The dumplings were good and delicious. The crab was well made and fresh. The bugs were also yummy.
Our last day at Cairns and arriving Esplanade again to explore the shorebirds. We were in a taxi and asked the driver to bring us to some good seafood place in town. This is the one nearby when we get off. Quite an interesting name and they did offer variety of seafood. The set menu was a bargain! Two or three courses lunch is just about $30 with a glass of wine or beer! The best value meal so far we got from this trip, and right here at the CBD of Cairns. The food are absolutely delicious. The raw oysters were fresh and all other seafoods were cooked right. Can’t ask for more! alfredcslau.wordpress.com
