Rudest man upon entering. I politely asked what vegetarian options were available and he rudely said the one that says vegetarian and jabbed at the menu. Table service was two very nice ladies. The gnocchi I ordered was delivered quickly, but was powdery and mushy. The sauce was tasty, but unremarkable.
The food is delizioso! We r Italians so we know how should be!!the food is real Italian! We had main mussels to share and then 1pasta each! Plus espresso martini and pudding for dessert! And of course a bottle of wine!we give 5delish!!
The food is fine. The service was awful. We asked the water but the waitress explain a lot about the spring water and sea water. As a foreigner, its hard to recognize that. When we ask more details, she just explain that its spring water and the other one is sea water. Then she served us a bottle of water cost 5.9 dollars.When we complained that, she even didnt come to severe us anymore. A very terrible night and an awful experience. Maybe were just tourists and maybe hardly ever have another chance to have diner at this restaurant so they dont care.
We ate breakfast here every day and sometimes popped back in for coffee during our four day stay so that should tell you how good this place is. We had the fresh orange juice, ciabatta toast, poached eggs and the traditional breakfast. All were excellently prepared, fresh and very fast service. Our waitress was extremely lovely and remembered us and our order after one visit and treated us like family straight away. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and so welcoming. We will definitely eat here whenever we are in Cairns.
A great customer service and a good value food with bayside view. We came here for lunch on Sunday. Ordered a garlic breads for starter, seafood pasta & pizza for main. Average taste the Melbournes pizza is way better but staffs are so welcoming and caring. Thats why I am happy to give you guys 4 stars.
We came to Villa Romana in our last night of a amazing 10 day holiday. The service was warm and friendly, I myself being able to speak Italian got on well with the proprietors. The food was of top quality and deserves a Michelin star for quality. The deserts were to die for and would definitely have order again. The interior and alfresco dining experience was delightful and made use of the beautiful cairns weather. On the whole I would go here forever and highly recommend the restaurant as a dinner destination! Well done!
The food and service here was absolutely amazing when I visited. I had the spaghetti marinara and it was delicious! Finished off with some tea and creme brulee which was also just devine. Even though they were quite busy the staff were very friendly and attentive. My meal came out quickly too which was great. Would eat here again.
