I went to the Waterbar with a few friends for dinner as we were transiting and overnighting through Cairns. We decided on the Waterbar after wandering around the area. It was busy but a table didnt take long. We ordered a mix of dishes to share. The salt and pepper calamari was good but not outstanding,The pork ribs were also good but just a bit dry. The Espatada was really good. Well cooked and well presented. Overall, considering the prices, Id go with 3.5 stars but rounding up makes it 4.
Went there in November and sat outside…great spot overlooking the marina staff were friendly and service was quick….I had the 1/2 ribs which were very good. The wife had the rib eye not to be confused with an eye filler but it was well cooked with great sauce…wine is expensive but it is an upmarket place so expect that. Overall I was impressed except for the fact that they allow wankers wearing torn shorts and singlets and baseball caps into there restaurant. Oh and make sure you book on weekends
