So Cairns it is for the love of Great Barrier Reef! We were in Cairns for 3 days during our year end vacation. We were roaming near esplanade during late evening and spotted this restaurant and went to check whether they were still serving dinner, the owner apologised and said they have wrapped up for the day, however encouraged us to come tomorrow. She also pointed out to us another restaurant where the food was still available. Food- We were pretty pleased with the owner lady and came back the next evening. We ordered seafood only as this place is famous for their sea food specialty. We ordered their seared scallops (Absolutely delectable, perfectly cooked and oh so fresh!), highly recommended Their Buttered calamari was also a stunner! Very huge calamari, not at all chewy, which I dont like, but this calamari was pretty soft and juicy! Very less herbs used in order to retain the actual flavour of the calamari, Pavalova was just ok! The souvignon Blanca was perfect with the seafood!Customer service- The stewardess needs to buck up on their customer service! Some of them are either smiling too much or not smiling at all. The owner lady is very efficient! She kept keeping a tab in our empty glasses, gave us an additional complimentary dessert wine!Ambience- They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The esplanade is stone throwawayValue for money- Moderate to expensive
