We walk in after a nearby Korean BBQ dinner and the Cafe is almost full of patrons so we ask to share a table. We order Phuong Trans favourite 8 Treasure Frappe ($9.90) as more sweet-tooth patrons file in to wait for a table. The desserts here are deliciously refreshing! We love the Tofu Fa, Black Jelly and Frappe desserts. And the 25 different Toppings!
Finally Id got a chance to try this dessert. I was surprised by the place. There wasnt many seats. I cant imagine how crowded it will be because I guess this place is very popular. I had bean curd with fungus and goji berry. Healthy combination. The fungus itself was already sweet therefore I didnt put the raw sugar syrup too much. It was tasty. The custard was so soft. My recommendation is to have it at home and add a bit of ginger extract.
I always be one of the fans of Soy Caf but felt disappointed on my last visit. We stole time prior to watch movie at the Garden City and dropped in this place for dessert. Again, it seems that the management has changed again with some new faces at the counter.Business was very busy (full house with long queue for placing orders). We ordered the barley soup + snow fungus & Goji berries and a bowl of sesame soup + tapioca pearl (but they ran out of tapioca pearl so changed to have mini pearl). The barley soup is just average but the sesame soup was seriously let down. Although we ordered the warm soup, the sesame soup was just slightly warm on the top but remained cold at the bottom. The sesame soup lacked of essential sesame aroma and taste. The soup was just to thick like the wet cement…. it is surely a disappointed experience…4 months ago Rating 4/5It have been nearly three years since the last review. Of course, on & off, I have been back for many times. The last visit was the night that I had dinner at the Khot Thai @ Paddington. After I have finished the finished, my sweet teeth pushed me to look for a good place for dessert and the name of this place popped up in my mind immediately. Walked in and found the new face-lifted (correct me if I am wrong, it looks like it is under new management). Perused the menu and discovered they have extended the menu to serve milk tea as well; even though there are some new varieties of soy custard that we can choose. Ordered the Snow fungus & Goji Berries soy custard and the soy custard with sesame soup. Both of them are delicious; particularly the fungus & Goji berries are definitely good for the health. This is a good business strategy!Jun 14, 2015 We are proud to have this dessert bar in Brisbane that even people from Sydney and Melbourne miss the chance to taste it. They serve the silky soy beancurd jelly, which you can combine with other ingredient such as taro, glass jelly, red bean, green bean……….. Don’t wait for it, they are so yummmmy….
