Very nice meal here tonight. We tried noodle soups, roast pork, bbq pork, roast chicken and the duck. Rice and roast meat dishes reminded me of Singapore. Prices were reasonable too. We’ll come again.
After the re-visit of Kitchen Inn@ Calamvale Central, I noticed that this BBQ shop located just a couple of shops down so went to get some take-away for the dinner. Remembered Joe K said the roasted duck is good so got half of the duck and also small piece of BBQ pork spare ribs. Taste of the duck is as good as the other competitors but the spare ribs sound even better. I am glad to see another choice of BBQ shop for take-away. As compared to the old time in early 80s, we can only buy the BBQ meat in Chinatown. I am proud of working in the Chinese restaurant named Beauty Garden, who was the only place serving roasted pork, BBQ pork and roasted duck at that time; therefore, I was lucky not feeling any home-sick of missing these yummy stuff. Haha!

So I decided to try this place located in Calamvale.Had takeaway pork belly, boneless duck and pork intestine.Tasted pretty good and my carving was totally satisfied! Good selections on menu. You can also dine in with couple of tables inside.
Visited this Chinese bbq restaurant tucked away in Calamvale marketplace. There was no wait to get seated on a Saturday for lunch but there were already people seated inside. The atmosphere was one of a typical kind of Chinese restaurant, but was more on the homely side.We ordered the 4 types of bbq meats meal for takeaway. It included roasted belly pork, char siu, roast duck and soya chicken. Personally, the roasted belly pork was the best. The char siu and soya chicken were also very delicious. The roast duck had a different taste to other restaurants that also serve up roast meats and was not my preferred style of roast duck. However, it was not bad in taste, just different. The rice was plentiful and there was a generous amount of vegetables. Overall, the dish was quite delicious as all the meats were marinated very well. The dish could do with more meats and less rice as the container was 60-70% filled with rice and the rest with the condiments. For its price point, I would return but perhaps try a different dish. Would definitely recommend trying out the roast meats here.
Kan Do and I returned to this 1 year old BBQ meats restaurant for lunch today. The quality of their Roast Duck, Roast Pork and Char Siu are comparable to Sunnybank. I place our lunch order and it is ready in 4 minutes.*Half Roast Duck ($17.50) is meaty, nicely marinated and roasted. *Roast Pork ($18) is a generous serve. The pork is tender and the crackling is crispy. *Fried Pak Choy ($10) with garlic is fried just right. We enjoy our lunch here and will be back.
