Have been eating Piccolo Pizza regularly for the past 3 years and loving it but tonight was disappointing. Base was undercooked on both pizzas and the chorizo tasted like kabana. What has changed? Please tell me this was a one off!
Ordered a takeaway pizza and garlic pizza bread. Pizza was the better of the two, nice thin base and tasty enough yet not amazing. Garlic bread was garlicky but didn’t seem as fresh tasting as the pizza, also maybe a little too crunchy around the edges of the base. Worth noting that on Fridays and Saturdays you can only eat outside or get takeaway, a little too noisy outside for us being right next to Old Cleveland Rd. Would return if in the area and fancied some pizza, though would skip the garlic bread.
When it comes to pizza you dont have to be genius but in this case even simple pizza can be complicated. It wouldn’t be fair to write a lot instead ill just say these guys neet to work on the pizza a lot.Disappointed
Awesome potato pizza my partner and I come here whenever we can we love it so much only down side is there isn’t one in Hamilton!!!! Piccolo pizza come to Hamilton please?
Lost a Loyal Customer. I am a regular at Piccolo – but not any more. I will NEVER return. A $20 dispute has resulted in $$$hundreds of lost future sales!!!Tonight I ordered my pizzas and attempted to use my Entertainment Card 25% discount. I rang to confirm that I could use the voucher prior to then ringing through my order (where again, I asked whether I could use the voucher – I was told YES!) yet, when I tried to redeem the voucher, I was told no. In fact, the manager making the decision was not even willing to discuss this with me. The lady that took my order confirmed that she had said I could use the voucher, but could only apologise that I could now could not. What makes this situation even more ridiculous, is that they suggested that I place an order at Highgate Hill (where the voucher was for) and they would therefore be willing to throw my order away. I live in walking distance to the Camp Hill store, so was not willing to do this.I deal with customers every day, and I would never treat a customer this way, this is disgraceful and I encourage anyone looking to try Piccolo to go somewhere else!
Avoid. Second bad experience here. Very disappointing pizzas tonight. Ordered the Portofino and the Calibrese. Far from authentic italian bases – appeared mass produced (pizzahut-like)The prawns on the Portofino were cut in half (?!) 3 prawns on the pizza in totalThe ‘Italian’ sausage on the Calibrese was nothing more than ground meat (NO flavour)Extremely overpriced for the quality. Such a shame.Although we live very close by, we will be venturing further afield for our pizza in future.
Very poor quality. Pasta had alot of fatty bits fed most of it to my dog and lettuce was brown and tasted like it had bein left out in the heat all day and rocket in the calimari salad was bitter and old, garlic bread was ok but little burnt i paid $50 for all this, i expected better atleast fresh lettuce dont think ill be going back. customer service was good.
