Thank you for your range of gluten free options. We have tried the steak pie and sausage rolls and they were delicious. Hope to see more gluten varieties in the future.

A different kind of review… my brother brought me home these pies after texting me the menu and telling me he was going to get me one on the way to my house, because they were awesome and I needed one (makes sense, I’d bought him a peanut butter choc chip cookie at the rare pear this morning so we have each others backs haha) I had already made lunch though, so they went in the fridge. So this is a re-heat review. Reheated slowly on the pizza stone in the oven. And it was fantastic. I’m so used to pies having thick nasty crusts now, but this was perfect, yummy filling, nice cheesy top. $hits all over Yatala pies. Would like to have a fresh one now! Highly recommend!

Beefy’s serve up the best pies in Queensland. The Signature Steak, Steak & Cracked Pepper and Steak & Potato are three of my favorites. They also raise money in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation through ‘Pie of Origin’. Great pies and a great cause!

When I drove along Wynnum Road towards the Cannon Hill Shopping Centre, the outstanding sign of this eatery caught my attention many many times. My curiosity tells me that I must try this place one day. Eventually arranged the time on the Sunday morning (thanks for their Seven days trading). The eatery was attached to a service station and I could not see any problem in parking. Went in and chose the Signature Pie because it was the award winning pie in 2013. Definitely, this pie is much better than the one that I had at Crusty Devil down the road in terms of the juicy meat and flaky pastry. However, I still could not understand what made it to be an award-winning pie since I had better pie in other places. Having said that, this eatery is still deserved to be recommended, particularly their gluten-free consideration is a win win decision.

I’ve eaten pies all over Australia and this is up there with the best of them, ( Tasmania, having the best pies I’ve tried) at least this is the best in Brisbane that I’ve had , golden flaky pastry that melts in your mouth, thick rich tasty gravy and soft quality chunks of beef 🙂 a real delight

Best pies. If you like pies, this is the place for you. Before Cannon Hill opened I would travel for the sole intention of getting a pie from the other outlets. Would recommend

Go for the pie stay for the chips. I went to Hervey Bay a couple of years ago and on the way back stopped at the buderim shop as I had saw it on the way up and thought hmm that looks good – that one stop got me hooked and when I found out they where opening a store at Cannon Hill I was excited – needless to say I have been there numerous times and have stocked up several times for pies for the freezer. The best thing to get is the lunch deal with the pie, drink and chips – there chips are something else especially with chicken salt – I could literally just go there for the chips they are that yummy! Pies are pretty awesome as well, I tend to stick to the same ones – plain, potato and have tried the ned kelly once – all where great. Also there sausage rolls are on par with the pies as well. Sometimes when my family goes here it is hard to decide between a pie or a sausage roll – would be even better if they offered freezer packs for sausage rolls as well as pies.
