Hidden gem!!This quirky little cafe in an out of the way spot in Cannon Hill is a real find. The coffee is excellent, the food is well cooked, the portions are generous and it’s very reasonably priced. The cafe is in a carport and there is some seating outside in the leafy garden. The staff are so friendly so you almost feel like you are having brunch at a friend’s house.
We go here every so often for take-away coffees usually and they do serve their coffees super fast which keeps us coming back! Carport is a pretty cool concept – at first visit you feel a bit awkward because it feels exactly like walking into someone’s private property until you see the tables and chairs full of diners. It’s a pretty casual setting. We did eat here once but I didn’t love it. The meals are enormous and my partner and his mother both didn’t finish their meals. They did enjoy what they ate. I had savoury mince and it had a good 2cm at least of oil sitting on top. I am not one to complain easily so I tried to continue on but I just couldn’t. When I politely asked if some of the oil could be drained off, she didn’t say anything to me and looked at me like I was a bit of an idiot. As I said, I almost never complain, and even less likely to send a plate back but I couldn’t eat through all that oil. The food was nice enough but I find we only come here for coffees now.

Its hard to find a cafe that focuses not only on the wow effect of presentation, but also places a higher emphasises ensuring FLAVOUR is present. The owner is amazing. He is so friendly and bubbly. The entire experience, every time, has been wonderful. Much recommended
