So after a long day at work I didn’t feel like cooking so I searched for Chinese in my area and found Good Food. I liked their menu so went with them. I got the Braised Chicken with ginger and shallots and a regular serve of rice. I’m disappointed for the rice as it’s sticky and the other dish was dry (hardly any sauce) I was expecting better, but on a side note the chicken was cooked beautifully. Won’t be returning though.

I have been going to this takeaway for over 10 years, so it’s about time I gave them a wrap.In that 10 years I don’t know if they have put their prices up. Good food takeaway is the old fashioned (anglosised) Chinese that you remember having as a kid. Sweet & Sour pork, chicken & cashew nut, Mongolian lamb – you get the picture.Good food lives up to its name, quality food, generous serves and seriously the best value in Brisbane.Wouldn’t be a stretch to say this is the best ‘old fashioned’ Chinese takeaway in town.
Very Bad service. Read review below.22 Aug, 2014We’ve been going to this place for a year as each time it been pretty good. Tonight was a rainy Friday night so every takeaway was probably really busy. Good food couldn’t handle the rush. We were served fine but the lady didn’t tell us about the 1hour wait! The place looked empty but there was about 5 phone orders that came and picked up before is. After 30 mins I thought, surely any time now. After 45 mins I started talking louder and louder about how long I’d been waiting. Finally after an hour of waiting she brought out our food and I said ‘next time you might want to let us know it will take 1 hour to get out food because that was ridiculous!’ She just ignored me and walked away. Good food (average).Bad service. I won’t be going back.
Great food. I get take away every week from this little place and their food is better than I have had at Chinatown or anywhere else I have eaten. They do not pad the dishes up with veges,rice or noddles. Generous amounts of meat or seafood. I love the Duck with Shiitake mushrooms and veg I get two large meals out of this. The other I love is roasted pork on bean sprouts Yummy. Their whole menu is great and very diverse. But ring and order as it is very popular with the locals. The Resturant inside for dinning is very basic but who cares with food like theirs.David
Nothing beats the Mongolian beef and fried rice. Delish! It’s really Good Food.
This is your typical Chinese restaurant but the food is beyond the best in Brisbane. The Mongolian Beef is to die for and their Honey Chicken is also amazing. I am yet to try food here that I don’t like. Good quick service too. Would highly recommend.
