No. Just no. The coffee and hot chocolate are good, but everything else we tried, both in the restaurant (poor service, incorrect underdone steak) and the cafe (slow service, cold onion rings, stale burger buns) atrocious. Self cater your trip to Lamington .

We had a lovely drive up to O’Reilly’s for a walk around and lunch. On arriving we walked up to the mountain cafe, both the men’s and ladies toilets were out of toilet paper and hand towels. Upon finding a way through to the cafe deck area and locating a menu, I proceeded to line up to order our meal. The lady in front had requested a variation to the menu and that obviously didn’t work out too well as she placed her drinks back into the fridge and stormed out of the cafe!We ordered a Mountain burger each(a $17 standard hamburger) which was bought out promptly to our table – had to search the cafe for the serviettes and salt for the unsalted chips. The mince patty was cold and appears to be one of those frozen processed types – and tasted like it.The buildings look like they have had better days – renovation time?It is one thing charging gourmet prices, it is another serving food that is worse than kicked out from an outback truck stop. Considering the numbers of international tourists visiting this beautiful location it is embarrassing the low standards of this cafe.Bring your own lunch if you want to visit.
