I love a good bakery but they are hard to come by. The Baker’s Corner is really good and I am so glad to have it as my local. They do lovely savoury breads and pastries, and the coffee is good and always served with a bonus cookie of some sort. I am always on the hunt for the best bakery pies but unfortunately these pies are just okay. My partner doesn’t mind the occasional sausage roll from here though.
The bread here is amazing. My favourites are the wholemeal sourdough, pumpkin and the olive loaves. – all delicious. Today we had a custard tart and chocolate brownies. The tart had a lovely flavour but the custard was too heavy and too set. It lacked the wobbliness of a really delicious custard. The brownies also had a nice flavour but were more cake-like and lacked the fudginess that the inside of a good brownie should have. They all still tasted good and I’m sure the ingredients are fresher and more natural than their competitors but these textural issues need to be sorted out if they want to have truly great bakery products and be more than just a bread shop. 14 Feb, 2016Apple and Cinnamon Muffin and Orange and Poppy Seed Muffin. The apple and cinnamon muffin has lovely big pieces of fresh apple (no magnifying glass needed). The consistency was lovely.29 Jul, 2013I feel a carb overload coming on! Baker’s Corner supplies bread and other baked goods to cafes and restaurants so buying direct means getting something that is fantastic and affordable. Their bread, pizza bases, scones and little garlic and herb breads are all fantastic and the service is friendly too. This is a local business I just love supporting.

Love this hidden gem. This is my local bakery had great service amazing range of breads and pasteries. Love vanilla slice, counuts, bacon and egg Brioche just to name a few. It’s also reasonably priced and I love that I can buy paper and milk there as well.
Amazing bakery. Can highly recommend. Cronuts are delicious and so is the almond croissant. The sun dried tomato bagel was also great. Will definitely be back
