Feeling like steak and having too many options at Carindale so we decided on the local. Walking through the venue, we waited to be seated and were shown our table. Right in the corner, there was no one else in there. We had 2 small kids with us, and were not offered high chairs. So I had to go get them myself.We shown menus and told to order at the counter, and drinks order at the bar. After looking through the menu, we ordered the eye fillet and fillet mignon, both medium, chips and salad. Extra sauce for the wife and side of garlic bread.After ordering walked over to the bar and had a look at what was on tap. Thought wife would like carlton mid and I went with one fifty lashes, bar staff was friendly, asked how my day was.Not long after, the garlic bread arrived and it was a nice start to the meal, girls enjoyed the garlic bread, crispy and cheesy and not to heavy.Mains arriving and we get into it, mine looks a little smaller than the wifes. Considering mine was suppose to weigh more at 250g but looks are deceiving, added bacon.There is nothing more sinful than an over cooked steak. We asked for medium, and it was more cooked than medium. The outer meat was a little dry and the middle was moist. But adding sauce could get away with it, but when paying average $30 a steak could have had little more attention. Seeing it was quiet and we had the place to ourselves, main dining room.Was a little disappointed, looking for good steaks.
