Male owner is the biggest sourpuss around- crack a smile at your customers mate, it can’t hurt! Food and coffee are good but expensive for a shopping centre food court. Managers attitude completely off putting however.

I was pleasantly surprised by the row of generous vegan cake and cupcake options!! Yay!!! It’s really hard to find vegan cakes to share with a coffee, so this made me drool 🙂 ordered a cheesecake cupcake and the raspberry slice mmmmm! They were tasty and not overpowered with coconut oil (like those raw slices often are). Staff were very informative on giving me the run down of diff flavours too. Not to mention the Almond Milk latte was the BeST I have had in a longgggg time. Often the Almond milk curdles when heated, but this one was perfect 😀

This place has really slipped recently. It was OK about 2 years ago but it’s awful now. Everything is overpriced like crazy, and the mostly young staff are just basically rude, flippant, and look like they have been sentenced to death working there. One young lady was fairly polite, but the others are just cheeky really. No wonder there was hardly anyone there and Toscanis 2 doors up was almost full. $16.60 for a coffee and 2 slices of toast? Topped off with bad service? Keep walking past.

I went to Coffee Hit for a late breakfast and was disappointed. It was very busy so I could excuse the waiting time, however here are my thoughts:-Terribly overpriced. I paid $20 for poached eggs on toast, side of hash browns and a hot chocolate. There was nothing special about its presentation – I received exactly what was listed and nothing more (eg. Garnish, condiments) which made the price inappropriate.- Food wasn’t great. The toasted sour dough was fine but the poached eggs were overcooked such that they seemed hard boiled in some parts and the hash browns tasted like they’d come from a packet – they even had that slightly soggy texture.- Except for the wait the service was lovely. The girl who served me at the counter was friendly and efficient and the girl who brought my hot chocolate was also kind. -The surrounds were fairly nice, considering it was a busy indoor shopping centre. I don’t know that it really had atmosphere but at least it was clean and well presented.TL;DR service is great but unfortunately doesn’t make up for the food quality and price tag.

3 x cappuccinos. Two of us were happy with ours, while daughter said hers was more like a flat white with a bit of froth on top i.e. not enough froth

My partner had won some money last night, and so as a treat we went to breakfast. This sort of thing doesn’t happen to us very often so we were quite excited… and this was the most disappointing choice we could’ve made. After we placed our order, it took about half an hour before we saw our food let alone our drinks. I understand that Sundays are busy, I’ve worked in hospitality for about 8 years now…and honestly I don’t mind waiting, but at least make sure that our food is worth the length of time we are waiting. It was absolutely horrible. I ordered smashed avo and my partner got eggs benedict. Out of all 4 eggs we recieved, NONE of them were the same consistency, nor cooked the way a poached egg is supposed to be cooked. They were hard centered and not very appealing at all. My smashed avo looked like it could’ve been made by a 4 year old, and as a chef myself I was REALLY annoyed that we paid over $50.00 for this ship wreck that had us waiting far too long. The presentation was terrible and not to mention that when I recieved my breakfast, I had ordered a side of bacon along with my eggs, which didn’t arrive with the rest of our food until I had to ask for it.As for the drinks? My partner got an iced coffee which was predominantly cream and nothing else, mine was a banana Chai smoothie on almond milk, although came to me on standard milk. Nothing about this visit went correctly, I can understand a simple mistake, but this entire sitting was nothing but mistakes.I can say, though, the girl who served us was super lovely. Which is why I thought I’d save my words for the review as opposed to having her cop it.Unfortunately, just friendly service won’t be enough, I can’t say I’ll ever return to such an overpriced cafe for such mediocre food.

16 Apr, 2016Coffee Hit has improved – slightly. I visited in a busy Saturday and sat at the last available table. The previous people had just left so the table was dirty but the manager arrived quite quickly and promised it would cleaned. It was. Promptly. I ordered a scone and pot of tea. They don’t offer cups of tea and the pots are $5.50 so strangely enough tea is more expensive than coffee. The scone arrived promptly but the tea took ages! I waited for the tea because I prefer to have them together. The tea was nice (Tea Drop brand – not one I’ve heard of). The scone, however, was not fresh and was probably made a few days ago, which was disappointing. 25 Jan, 2013Service was reasonably quick but not very friendly. My cappucino was weak and milky and the take away containers they use seem to impart a certain smell (maybe plasticky). The cakes looked good but I won’t be rushing back.
