Went here for lunch and ordered ‘chicken, avo and bacon on Turkish’ with an iced chocolate. Pros:- Friendly enough service- Convenient location in shopping centre – Food came fairly quickly- Plenty of seatingCons: – Drinking glasses were not clean – Iced chocolate had virtually no flavour – Meal did not look or taste fresh and was very bland. I definitely wouldn’t come back.
I have been here a couple of times in the last few months. The first was when I had 20 minutes to spare while my watch was being fitted with a new battery. I had low expectations of the coffee at Jamaica Blue but was pleasantly surprised. The cappuccino was strong and hot and my son enjoyed his hot chocolate (and he can be fussy, especially if it isn’t chocolatey enough). I came back with family telling them how good it was and was bitterly disappointed with my stale, crumbly scone.
Had a hectic day of shopping at Carindale and after a while we decided to take a tea break. Good service and nice tea (would have been worried if it wasn’t!). My mum had a vanilla milkshake which was lovely and refreshing. Only downside was the glass was so small and it was gone so fast!! Overall, nice workers, they seemed a bit glum like they were just waiting for their shift to be over 🙁 other than that, it was pleasant. Might try out the lunch menu one day.
The service was friendly and the food looks delicious. On this trip I popped in for a coffee and though the piping hot latte was well made the blend was a little bland. These beans are too close to the Vitoria blend which loses character with strength.
I’ve been here a few times. Usually I order a coffee and the breakfast deal. It nice the first few times. But the final I ordered my usual but found the eggs were cold and the bacon over done.
Food is good quality but prices much too high. Eggs Benedict does not come with any meat and had to pay $4.50 for it to include what ended up being a small amount of bacon. The food on display does not show prices most likely because they are so high.
Have not tried the coffee here but have had bad experiences with the Logan branch. Stopped by for a sweet treat & the staff were very courteous. Had a slice of the coconut cherry it was yum, the store was cheery & clean too
