Completely disappointed. I used to come here years ago every weekend, it was great food and great service and it has gone downhill 100%. My father sat and waited for 40 minutes, we had all finished our meals and when they finally bought out his meal (when we had asked for it 3 times and specified that he ordered smoked salmon eggs Benedict) it was poached eggs on toast! No sorry, no refund, just told us the docket said poached eggs so that’s what he had to have! All 4 meals were also cold as if they had sat on the counter too long. Will never ever return.
Nice cafe in the middle of the Carrara markets. Good selection of breakfast items. Nothing too fancy but has all the originals of breakfast/lunch lovers. Quality of the food is good seeing as the price is soooooo cheap. I’m surprised how cheap it is. I would not expect them to use high quality organic products with this price which is why quality reflects price but they have done a good job.

The Silo Café is the place where Australia Day is held every weekend, where the ‘Great Aussie Breakfast’ has not been bumped out of fashion by righteous diners. It’s a place where ‘everyman’ can eat like a king and wash the meal down with one of the best coffees in town.
Eggs Benedict. Eggs bene yum, obviously based on the taste the hollandaise was made by a chef on the day. Seems a rare thing these days!?—–14 Aug, 2014—–Amore Coffee. The coffee is the owners blend. But he’ll blend something up for you if you ask him. Sime always has different beans to try.He tends to hide the 22 gram vst on a naked handle for the masses. But ask and you shall receive. I buy all my beans for home off him for $30 a kilo. All fair trade organic.
