The Carseldine Roadhouse is located in the caltex service station where the Gloria Jeans used to be. It’s a small space with about 5 tables inside and a few outside. We went on a Thursday night and it was relatively busy. I was there with my husband 2 boys. As there is no children’s menu the boys and I shared the Chicken BLAT and the New York grilled gourmet hotdog. My husband had the steak special. We also purchased a bottle of water and bottle of soft drink. Total bill was $52.00. No complaints regarding food or service. Food was maybe a little slower than usual as I think they had a few take away orders. The staff did apologise for the wait but it really wasn’t that long. I would like to see a children’s menu just so there is an option for a small portion. I don’t know that I would eat in again but given it’s local to us I will defiantly add to our take away list.
I discovered this place by accident a few weeks ago and have been dining here at least once a week since. Everything has been delicious. The sausages that come with the breakfast are my favourite! And this steak sandwich? Sooo good!!Keep up the great work guys!
My first experience here and the last. The customer service was great, but the food was terrible and came with very small proportion considering we spent $47 on 2x big breakfast with coffee. My relative and I each got one small cut of grilled tomato, & 1 fried mushroom with very greasy hash browns and burnt sausage. The coffee is the worst I’ve ever had anywhere in Brisbane, let alone Australia. I got a flat white and it was all watered down that I couldn’t even taste the espresso. I requested a new one and it was still half as bad that I couldn’t finish it. I was very disappointed as I had spent $5 on a really bad coffee. I am a local and will never come here again. Spend your money elsewhere folks, coffee club is a start.
I went on Sunday a couple of days ago and the service was incredible! A blonde teenage girl served me and she was the loveliest young lady I’ve ever come across! She would be a lovely match for my son Jerome! He’s always looking for a girlfriend but the poor darl’s a bit of a loser!
Had breakfast here last week. My Sweet French Toast was delicious and my mate enjoyed his Eggs Benedict. Staff weren’t the friendliest, but got the job done.
My partner & myself went for lunch here, tried the roadhouse bbq burger & steak sandwich it was really good, definitely will be back again!
Every time I have eaten here the meals have been delicious. Currently trying to work my way through the menu with each visit. Definitely will keep eating here. Great friendly staff and good prices. It’s a win win.
