We decided to give this place a go as it's local, hoping for a 'Pig and Whistle' kind of experience. We walked in, there was no one to greet us. So we…

Kenmore tavern is a bit of a miss. The main meals are overpriced for the quality of the food. I felt like I was paying premium amounts for average pub…

My family and I went here for dinner last night. While i love the atmosphere and the staff are polite, i was disappointed with my meal. I ordered a margarita pizza with added mushrooms and i received it without mushrooms. The staff took it back and made another pizza and guess what, a fresh pizza came back still WITHOUT mushrooms. I don’t know what happened but by the time my actual pizza came out, my whole family had finished eating and I wasn’t hungry. To top it off, although the staff were apologetic, they made no effort to offer some sort of freebie or something to make up for their mistakes. I will be back but if something like this happens again, i will be reconsidering having dinner at my local tavern.
Tried on Sunday and the woman serving was not happy. A pity as made me feel I would have rather stayed at home. Not sure where they get their wagu beef but mine didn’t look or taste like wagu. Won’t be back.
Great tavern! If you are after a classic pub meal, look no further! Meals are well priced and great quality! The setting is great and reflects more of a restaurant vibe than a typical tavern. My least favourite aspect, was the queue to order food which was 20 people long by the time I started lining up. Otherwise couldn’t recommend enough! Rebecca
Fantastic place to go with families – there’s a kids menu and all the food is of great quality, generous portion sizes and tastes amazing. Kitchen are flexible with orders. Staff are very friendly and will do their best to help you out.
Food is always a little bit slow coming out but this can be understandable on a weekend when it is busy. However, when the food did eventually arrive, it all seemed perfect and exactly what we ordered. I had ordered a plain chicken schnitzel with a steak sauce on the side. A few bites in I notice it taste a bit strange, I flipped It over to see a heap of tomato sauce and cheese that looked like it had been attempted to be scraped off. Was not very impressed with recieving a parmy after ordering a plain schnitzel and especially being so sneaky and trying to hide it. Chips didn’t taste very fresh but the rest of our meals were fairly decent. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Overall an average experience
I saw all the bad reviews but decided to give it a fair go. And we found that the steak was way to dry and chewy, risotto was barley cooked, fish of the day was on the way of going off…most importantly, their manager does not care what customers think of their food at all. Will definitely NOT go again.
Not sure how this place got 2016 casual dining restaurant of the year, but whoever judged the competition must not have had to wait 15 mins to be acknowledged to be offered a table, and must have avoided ordering the chewy risotto. Perhaps they had the pork cutlet which was tasty, but still hard to digest with a side of sub-par service.
