Late delivery, bland flavour. I ordered food from here to be delivered through the EatNow website last week.I got the text as usual, saying the food would arrive in approximately 75 minutes. An hour and a half later, I was still waiting for my food. Eventually, I received a phone call from the guy delivering my order. He seemed confused on how to get in to my building, which is odd because if he had come to the front door, he would have seen the intercom and been able to call up to my unit. I came downstairs to grab my food and could not locate him. He was actually standing out on the street, looking very lost.Thinking my dramas were over, I took my food and headed back in, only to discover that he must have been lost for a while because none of my food was still hot.The flavours of everything I’d ordered was bland and tasteless – as if there was no spice added at all. This surprised me because I’d requested medium curries, not mild. But even without the heat of spice and chilli, there was no aroma or taste at all to the meals. The pilau rice was plain and poorly mixed, and the mint raita had partially spilled in the bag.I can definitely say I will not be wasting money ordering from Bombay Bliss again.
Been going here for years. While the quality can vary each time, it is still some of the best Indian in the area. Really friendly staff.
Order not put through. Would think that putting through a phone order would be simple enough but at 7:10pm tonight I ordered a lamb biryani, malai kofta and rice. Attendant said this would be ready for pick up in 10 minutes. Knowing these normally take a little longer to prepare I fronted the store at 7:30pm and the lady looked perplexed when I asked for my order. Then she fumbled around the phone and the order had been written down but not sent through to the kitchen. Wanted me to wait another 20 minutes in store so I cancelled, not because I couldn’t wait, but because I have a thing about rewarding incompetence with my custom.
Too Up and Down. Sometimes great, sometimes not good at all. Last time food was terrible, not going to chance it again.
Came here tonight for a quick bite to eat, lined up to be told table service has a different menu and to take a seat, we told them we were in a rush and were told a 20 minute wait on food. We agreed and sat down only to wait 10 minutes to even get a menu. After and 10 minutes of waiting we lined up again to order food. After 5 minutes of this we left. Overall not impressed, ended up going down the road for dinner and had a lovely night elsewhere.
The Calcutta lamb is great service is abit slow But worth the wait
I have experienced 10s and 10s of different Butter Chicken dishes. The Butter Chicken I purchased at the Chermside store was extremely poor quality. In a large serving there were a total of 4 fork sized pieces of chicken, of which were extremely tough to chew. The sauce was watered down and flavour was pretty tame. For $15 I thought this was a total rip off and will never eat here again. My recommendation for the best Indian Restaurant in Brisbane is Punjab Curry CLub Limestone Street Ipswich. If your in Townsville goto Masala Indian on Palmer Street
