The service couldnt have been better, unfortunately though, the food could have. I really expected to be blown away by the flavours but it was definitely on the bland (and small) side. Glad I paid the extra $5 for the avocado and lime! Would have been embarrassingly stingy without that! Other dishes I saw came out did look a little more generous than my empanadas so perhaps I just ordered the wrong dish. Surrounded by so many great alternatives Im concerned for their future, hope they find a way to make it work.
Food Was very bland and seemed mostly pre-prepared, small segmented portions of beans and rice on the platter seemed like they had come from cans. The mains were small and left a lot to be desired, you could prepare similar at home for a lot less than the $77 we paid for three meals and be a lot less hungry afterwards. Very little service left us wondering when our food was going to be served and staff meals were served at the same time as our food after a lengthy wait… Didn’t feel very welcome
Not a great experience. Staff were quite stand-offish and not keen to help out (asked for alternative vegan sauces and was told their werent any, asked if they could replace the water jug and was told later). Ordered an empanada with fire roasted veges and got two small crispy pastries stuffed with unseasoned cauliflower…. it was supposed to come with an almond salsa but this was nowhere to be found either. My partners nachos were flavourless and lacklustre. Wouldnt recommend and wouldnt frequent again. Definitely wasnt worth a $45 lunch.
I have been here a number of times with my partner and we have never been dissatisfied! Excellent food and heaps of vegan options. Great food, great value
Couldn’t fault the service, cleanliness, and quality of food. I had a coupon so paid half price which was the reason for the visit however after experiencing the freshness and quality of what we were served, I’ll return again and pay full price. Our table was 2 adults and 1 fussy 6yr old for a 6pm reservation. I figured, as per usual, the kids meal would go largely untouched but what a surprise! The pulled chicken nachos got a thumbs up! I ordered the empanadas which were crispy and puffy with a beautiful pulled meat filling and a fresh salad on the side. We also had a small (but HUGE) El Plato. Great value with that meal. It was essentially a bit of a taster plate. The pulled beef was full of flavour and the lime and avocado salad was fresh. Our friendly waiter did ask if we wanted some side plates for sharing meals, so it’s good that they encourage that so you can easily experience a variety of dishes. The smoky chipotle sauce on our table was just perfect as an accompaniment to our crisp plantain chips served with more of the divine fresh salsa. There was a good selection of drinks, we enjoyed a Venezualan beer similar to a Heineken. Definitely will be popping in again next time I’m at Chermside – and I recommend sharing an El Plato with your dining companion.
How could fiery deli improve? What a great question and I have the answer… lets start with educating your team members on customer satisfaction, this afternoon my partner and were excited to be trying another one of Chermsides fab restaurants however did that change quickly Today on the 16/11/18 my partner and I sat down at the fiery deli Chermside this was one of our greatest mistakes we made as the trendy looking atmosphere and very catering menu was completely shun by the utter rudeness of one of the team members as she was so rude and obviously took no pride in the company for which she works for while she argued her point whilst she clearly took our orders incorrectly and persisted to argue even though my partner offered to have the incorrect order if she was to bring out a bowl of chips as I am vegan and with her attitude being still as it was (horrible) like our experience we got our money refunded and left. I will not be referring this place to anybody not even the local debate team as this staff member was clearly not even educated enough to hold a valid point. Never Again might I add one negative overrules 100 positives fiery deli you have hired a winner good luck and I sincerely hope you fix the broken lin.
Well I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here especially as it is a fast food type of venue. We had a coupon so it was also very good value, without that the value is maybe questionable. The food is typical of the food I have sampled in Cuzco & whilst trekking in the Machu Picchu regions of South America. This was also a surprising feature for me. The food had flavor & if you needed that chilli hit (like me) there was jalapenos for sides for $3.5, or the complimentary hot sauces on the tables. My order was the vegetarian plate which had a spiced selection of roasted vegetables, along with yellow rice, black beans, lime & avocado salsa, greens & roasted delicious plantain bananas (another reminder of Cuzco food in the many restaurants we tried over there.) There was also a paleo version of the same dish which my friend ordered. Service was a tad slow but very polite & friendly. Great addition to the fast food outlets
