This was our first time here. First of all the staff were unaware of what is actually on the menu. I asked for sausage and was told we dont do sausage it turned out the sausage was minced lamb on a skewer. We asked for salt and pepper they couldnt find any then we got a grinder containing both salt and pepper. We asked for pepper and got black pepper in a bowl which was difficult to sprinkle on my food. A waitress came and took the salt and pepper grinder without asking if wed finished with it. One salt and pepper container for the whole cafe? There was no water available. We didnt get butter for the toast or offer of any sauces. Our meal cost $20 more than our regular cafe where we get better service and better food and more choice. We will not be eating at Ivy and Lark again.
Walking past this pretty little Cafeteria I stop to check out the design and attractive decor. I see some beautiful sweets on display but I only have room for a small Cafe Latte. Always next time with Phuong Trans sweet tooth for desserts! The coffee is very good, served hot with a nice flavour. The Barista politely asks if I am happy with the coffee? I am impressed and I compliment him on the coffee. Well done guys!
Great cafe with great decor 🙂 always come here for coffee and cake when Im at Chermside. Staff are friendly and helped us choose a great cake too!
Went here for a quick lunch and a break from shopping. We ordered the (i) Super Green bowl (with falafel as the choice of protein) – the two falafel was unfortunately dry and the salad was a bit too sour and overpowering, and the (ii) Thai Noodle with papaya bowl (with chicken) – the chicken was nicely cooked although it was only a small piece, the noodle salad was flavourful and nicely balanced. Each bowl also came with a slice of wholemeal bread, which was a bit confusing – however, I like bread so that was fine. The latte and cappuccino were good. The prices were a bit steep for what was offered ($18 per bowl). Ambience was casual and the cafe was nicely decorated with plants and weaved light frames. Service is one of order and pay at the counter, and you get your own water.Overall, an average lunch stop with good coffee at Westfield shopping centre.
Very disappointed with my first visit to this cafe. I’ll start with a positive – the decor is beautiful. Our lunch started with a lost booking. I ordered an expensive salad of greens and sweet potato, with sliced almonds and ‘chose your protein’. The proteins were listed without any price beside them so I assumed they were included. It was only when I read the total charge that I was told it was $5 extra. I duly paid, and it wasn’t till halfway through the salad (served in an awkwardly deep bowl) that I realised there were no almonds. After inquiring as to where they were, I was told that there were no almonds today. (This is in a shopping centre? Go and buy some.) I still had to pay full price though. I’ve actually got a list of 9 complaints compiled by myself and my 3 companions. Two of us were eating for about 5mins before the other two were served. We spoke twice to the staff, who I can only describe as disinterested. No-one came to remove dirty dishes for at least an hour after we had finished. Absolutely no-one came to discuss our complaints, let alone to offer any compensation for our dissatisfaction. Not going back.
Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Had to wait 15 minutes after we were served our food for our weak coffee. Staff great just run off their feet.
What would you consider to be the worst thing you could do with Eggs Benedict? OVER COOKED EGGS!! for $18 Eggs benedict from a fancy restaurant it supposed to be an awesome breakfast, but I had the worst Benedict in my life! Not only were the eggs all overcooked, the bacon was undercooked and the sourdough was not crispy at all. lastly neither of the meals were consistent, one had shredded cheese and the second didnt. The only saving grace, was a good chai latte.
