Went for breakfast here a couple of weeks ago, got the poached eggs on toast for 11.90.I got exactly that so I cant complain it wasnt what I ordered but it was served on one piece of white sandwich bread. I would have thought maybe that it would have been served with 2 pieces of toast at least and presented a little bit better than just slopped on the plate. For what I got here, value for money is questionable, $11.90 was a bit rich for 2 eggs and one piece of toast. My partner chose the musli and said that it was pretty average but considering the price, it balanced out.The coffee was average and if you do go here ask for a double shot as the standard coffee is like drinking milk with a couple of grains of instant coffee mixed in it. I have enjoyed merlo coffee around Brisbane for some time but didnt as much here.I would give them the benefit of the doubt and go back for a take away coffee and try it again with a double shot. Unfortunately would never stay for food again.

The location is so so, and the pricing for this location is definitely above average. The food is always good, quick and tasty. Just think the menu needs a little look at.

A pleasant little cafe in a lovely setting in the quiet part of Cleveland. Atmosphere when we have been there is relaxed. Service is average. A smile or ssome sign of interest would be nice. Prices are through the roof !!! Food is average really. Nothing inspiring or super delicious……….just mundane, but way too expensive.

A bit old fashioned- with the good and the bad that you’d expect from a local cafe in a sleepy part of Cleveland town. They can get very busy and this tends to be when quality and service decline.

Regular. Coffee served just the way I like it . Hot!!!! a full cup and creamy froth to top it offGreat value meals .Generous portions and good friendly service. Would highly recommend.

Train your barista and teach your wait staff some manners. Driving past, saw the Merlo umbrellas and thought we couldn’t go wrong. We were wrong. Very wrong.Frankly terrible coffee, weak thin milk with a lump of foam on top does not equal a flat white.Very old fashioned, would only serve coffee in a latte glass or cafeteria style small cup.Food was average, scrambled eggs were good but if that’ was crispy bacon then their normal bacon would have to still be oinking.Expensive morning mistake.
