The sign outside said this place won the Redland Area best fish and chip award(or something like that) for 2015. All I can say is you poor folk out that area must be absolutely deprived of any quality seafood eating! We each had a fish meal($42 for both). The fish , snapper,was of small size. Is there a shortage of spuds out that way as the serving of chips was very small(kids portion). The so called salad was pathetic.Two very small pieces of sliced tomato, half a small onion ring and the rest …99% lettuce!! Made me feel like a rabbit ! No dressing so was dry and unappetising. For the price we paid the effort (and the place was not busy at all), was well below par and for an ‘award winning’ eatery….a joke. Won’t see us again.
Always raved about Samsons but sadly had the worst piece of fish ever tonight. Fish has always been white and fluffy in appearance, juicy and devine but tonights was grey, thin and dry as a chip. My friends was the same. It’s a pity, doesn’t take long to turn people away.
The food is always great here! Service isnt wonderful and the wait times can be long but it is always worth it! After all, it is a fish & chip shop not fine dining! Always worth it and the views are lovely.
Splendid outing. I dined here Sunday night with my family for mothers day. We were all extremely satisfied with the quality of food that we ordered… . My wife and I enjoyed our cod meals which were cooked to perfection and had large, well presented salads to go with it. really enjoyed our outing.
AMAZING. I went a few nights ago as a friend recommended it to me, it was busy the food was great giant plates with large servings and reasonable priced meals from about $12 to no more than $20 and the staff where very friendly considering they looked rushed of their feet would recommend defiantly going back again.
Beef Burger and Chips. Soooooo good!23 Mar, 2015It was quiet the time we went which made it better because it’s always packed. I feel like since it was quiet they spent more time on the order which made it even more better. The presentation was alright but the burger and chips itself was SO GOOD!
Seriously nice, friendly staff, fast delivery for the busy night. Highly recommend
