I like it here- it is similar to Scratch in Milton in the sense they let you BYO food and have a selection (not as huge) of good beers including sours from time to time. Was there for a Newstead tap takeover which was pretty fun. The staff were heaps friendly, the good type of bar staff. Can’t wait to try this place again
The Bench is the venue sleepy old Cleveland was missing. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the beer and cider selection is fantastic. With their live music on the weekends, selection of board games and regular events, The Bench is a great local hangout wether you’re 18 or 80. Whilst they do not serve food you can BYO or place an order with one of the local restaurants, like Doug & Pearl next door. I highly recommend The Bench for your next Sunday session.
The Bench is a fantastic boutique craft beer bar, with a truly awesome selection of beers. The fact they allow you to bring in food from the neighboring restaurants nearby is also a great way to settle in for the night (we always get American buffalo wings and burger from Twelve Boar down the road). Place is a bit small and hard to get a table when busy; would do heaps better with a bigger venue. But definitely a must do for craft beer enthusiasts in the Redlands area!They recently held an event where they extended the venue out to the lawn, brought out live music, and got NewTown Brewery to bring in a smoker for wings as well as their own drop. Was a great afternoon session out in the sun… need more events like this!!!
