Just walked in for Sunday lunch, the menu is extensive and full of surprises like the 1.5kg t bone, the couple behind had that, and it smelt terrific and they really enjoyed it. The Great Northern beer comes in these icy mugs and are to die for. We had the seafood share plate and gave it a good shot, but failed in eating it all, everything was so fresh and delicious, I especially loved the prawns. The staff were so accommodating, and made us feel really welcome, I bought a stubby cooler on the way out , just for the memory value. I cant wait till I get the opportunity to be at the coast and head off to Choofa’s and look at the beautiful view across the road.
We fell for the old trick of ordering two bottles of wine before our meal. Management obviously saw us as drinkers and were rubbing their hands together. We then had to wait an hour and half for 4 of the more basic meals on the menus (grilled fish and pre smoked meat) whilst those around us ate and left. Mediocre service and mediocre food. Will not be back. Save your coin and your frustration and avoid.
Breakfast menu is great with organic products and quality yoghurts etc. You wont have any issues with dietary requirements or selection. I prefer not to mark our experience down because of 1 persons service but the girl on shift was pretty disinterested opposed to the owner who was genuinely enquiring on our views. Her poor service was only half a point so i do recommend having your breaky here.
