My husband and I drove from Gold Coast just to see what food the location has to offer. It’s a popular place to eat and hangout as we walked past the restaurant so we decided to have lunch here. Good fish and chips! Though the salt and pepper calamari I’ve ordered wasn’t as good. It was quite bland and really lacked flavor. I actually enjoyed the side salad more than the calamari. So for me I would’ve rated it 2.5.
We ate lunch today and it was absolutely not worth the money. To start with we were over charged at the cashier section for food as we added drinks and that’s where it all started. Our food was gross and over cooked and the staff apart from one were rude as well.We also witnessed two other people complaining they had been over charged.Check your receipt !!!Will never ever return again..
Awesome place with good food and view! The fish n chips were great and sliders were nice. Definitely will be back for lunch next time we’re down the coast 🙂
Walked along the main strip of Coolangatta looking for somewhere to have a light lunch and decided to sit at the Coolangatta Hotel on the corner. Nice open restaurant with a good view of the beach. It was very windy this day so a breeze was noticed, but it was kind of refreshing on this hot day. I ordered the Carbonara pasta dish.It did not take long to come out and was glad I ordered it once I laid eyes on.It had plenty of flavour and was a good serving size. Not sure what else I can comment on- for this particular dish. I would gladly have it again. The price as very reasonable too, which helps when you’re on holidays. It looked like this place turned into a pub/club in the later hours of the evening. Plenty of stand-up bars and TV’s for entertainment (they were screening the tennis which was great too!).Definitely a place to try if in the area.
Food was ordinary. I had the spaghetti bolognaise. It was cold and had much more meat than pasta. If i wanted a bowl full of cold meat, i would have asked for one. I also had a lemon lime bitters and it had half of a lime shoved in the bottom of the glass along with a few more pieces, did not taste very nice at all. Their chips are quite nice and the side salads are quite ordinary. The service was fairly decent. Not sure if i will be going back for dinner again.
