Customer service was extremely poor. Walked in and greeted by one lovely waitress who was about to seat us, when an older waitress came up to us and told us that we weren’t allowed in because of the take away coffees we had in our hand. We walked away and finished our coffees only to come back and have to wait 5-10 minutes before we were even acknowledged to be seated – the same older waitress who told us we weren’t allowed in, also blatantly ignored us.The food was average;- entree was tiny for what we paid, $15 dollars for 2 small slices of lamb that were too salty- carbonara was bland and nothing special- marinara was floury and pasta was over cookedWould not recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately an extremely different experience to the other George’s Paragons we’ve been to.
As others have said, getting here early is a good plan (17:30). The service was fantastic as in the tables were constantly tended to enthusiastically. I had John Dory special and there were souvlaki and kids snitzels etc. All meals were presented very well and cooked perfectly. Hot meals and quality product. Knowing i was going to review the place i was looking for things that would go against the overall experience and i came up with nothing. $105- for 4 meals, 1 entree saganaki and drinks. Our dinner was spot on.
Really disappointing. My partner and I dined there on our special ‘going out’ night of our weekend away, hoping for something really nice. I had Barramundi with garlic cream sauce and prawns and he had snapper. Both of us had watery, bland, small pieces of fish. Don’t bother with this place. It reads well, declaring low prices, but in reality you’re better off paying $5-$10 more to get a decent size piece of fresh fish. Won’t be returning.
