This a sweet and homemade and old fashioned but thats what makes it worth returning to. Its very homey and friendly in a slightly stern aunt sort of way. Homemade cakes that arent 8 days old from a factory though. Beats those cafe cakes that look pretty but dont inspire you to take a second bite. It almost feels like a CWA run place. Not a bad thing.

My favourite ‘quiet place’. This little cafe has been my favourite since I became a mum. It is a quiet and a little old-fashioned but this is exactly why I go there from time-to-time. Food is hearty and is reminiscent of an old ‘tea house’. The owners, a husband and wife team, bake most of the goods in the cabinet and they make their own soups and all of the quiches and pies, muffins and cookies. It’s reasonably priced. Coffee is not for the connoisseurs but the teas are lovely. My favourite thing about this place is a consistently great, warm and efficient service, lovely comforting food and a peace and quiet to read a book or a newspaper. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to have lovely sandwiches and teas and who appreciates the times gone by.

Diana. Cute little spot for a cup of tea but not for coffee. We did not enjoy the coffee (although it was Merlo) was not a very good extraction at all rendering it flavourless.
