The food was fabulous and their service was excellent! We sat in and had some burgers and fish and chips, huge portions and incredible value. This is the place to go foryour best fish and chips experience.
Have been going here for a while and have always been reasonably happy with the food. However they seem to be skimping on the portions lately! A few handfuls of chips for $4.50 is definitely not worth it. Please pick up your act!!
Great fish & chip shop. Our go to for Friday night takeaway! Needless to say we frequent this place often. The fish is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I think they use panko crumbs so it is always light and crunchy. Chips are some of the best I’ve had. To top it all off, great value for money. We get fish and chips for two for $20 are always left satisfied (absolutely stuffed!)
Fish and chips are usually good from there, not always, but what is so annoying is when on a Friday night you are trying to order and they take their phone off the hook. Probably not be hurrying back there from now on. Wasted my time and money trying to get through for 20 minutes. Not that good.
I’m three suburbs away in Graceville, and even with 4 other fish and chips places closer, I’ll still consistently go to Salt and Vinegar. Consistently high quality.
Ordered grilled snapper. One piece was cooked nicely, the other was overcooked and rubbery. Came with a nice butter sauce. Chips were good. Have had the battered snapper before which was much more enjoyable.
I had huge family meal last night. 9 cods, 3 burgers, 30? calamari rings, some salad, snacks and sauces. Yes. Quite big stuff. They were very busy so I had to wait more than 35mins. Waiting time was the only problem I can think of. Better place a phone order next time 🙂 The foods were absolutely delicious. Crispy outside, tender inside.. really good stuff. Their burgers were also very tasty. much better than Macca’s. I will definitely come again
