We had a great dinner, not sure where everyone is going with the fine dining, it was just a nice casual atmosphere, typical of decent restaurant with fresh food and good service. We were well looked after and the staff had a good knowledge of the food and preferred wine to compliment the meal. We orders the specials, Moreton bay bugs and the king Salmon (better than the over supply of farmed barramundi we have in Australia). These dishes did not let us down, one of the best meals we have had in Port Douglas. Desert topped off and also good. Don’t miss this place, it is pricy but where is it not pricy here, if the food is good, who cares, when on holidays, live a little
The food here is adequate in an atmosphere where is feels they are trying for fine dining but they don’t quite get there with the menu. We took our children here and as is typical of Port Douglas, the kids menu has everything fried without one steamed vegetable on offer (why is that chefs?). Even more disappointing was the $2 fee for their ‘activity pack’ – why bother? The service here was attentive yet a little underwhelming in terms of professionalism.

At the quiet bottom end of Macrossan and a large, modern layout. The service is outstanding. Friendly, very attentive. Knowledgeable. The food is obviously seafood focused and the 2 of us enjoyed 4 appetisers ( Sashimi, Scallops, Salt and Pepper Calamari and Mussels ) followed by a huge platter of charred bugs with coconut rice. Just a great meal and the smiles of each and every member of staff made for a memorable evening. A table on the deck facing Macrossan have us a lovely opportunity to watch the PD Passeggiata. Dinner for 2 including cocktails and a bottle of Vasse Felix Cabernet was $220. Great value. Highly recommended for seafood lovers.
Excellent food, nice service but long wait between courses and matching food wines forgotten. Don’t need to go here again. Not up to scratch for so-called fine dining due to tardiness
I love this place! The atmosphere had a fine dining vibe and was very elegant. Staff were very attentive and prompt. The food was amazing. The seafood was fresh and well executed. I haven’t had scallops so well cooked in a long time! I would highly recommend!
