Not a great experience. Glasses were filthy so we could not drink the water, even the plastic cup given to the children had crayon marks (they use same cups for crayon holders). Then ordered a Mango smoothly which was not properly blended and not drinkable. Some of the food was edible however burger was a bit chewy, steak sandwich was greasy and when the chips were served we were not sure if they were sweet potatoes or just burnt (and tasteless). Ended up going to get a meat pie at the bakery down the road which was so much better.
During our holiday in Port Douglas we ate breakfast at home most days, but took ourselves out to breakfast a few times. After one excellent breakfast at Cafe Fresq we knew we needed a return visit, and I’m so glad we did!. The menu is varied without being too long, but covers all bases from healthy to decadent, sweet and savoury. A huge number of options can be made vegetarian and vegan which is always a plus, and the staff were super friendly and helpful as well.
