Very poor, from customer service, friendliness and just a basic greeting was non existence. Bunch of kids on the floor that have no idea and clearly have not been given any guidance. The two of us had poached eggs and both were over cooked, wife asked for crispy bacon and received bacon that was hardly flashed in the pan. She asked if they could just take the bacon back and cook a bit more, the kid that looked 13 yrs old spoke to the ‘cook’, not going to use chef with a review of this joint, 13 yr old came back and said that it did not come into the kitchen like that and there is nothing they can do. . Never to return again, terrible, never again, vomit material and I could keep going.
The breakfast menu here is delicious and the food isn’t overpriced. There is a fun, slightly vintage vibe to the cafe with very cute decorations. Went on a Saturday morning at 9am and the wait for for the meals to arrive took over an hour! The açai bowl arrived within 20 minutes but the burger, salad and eggs benedict took over an hour! The coffee and hot chocolate on the other hand only took about 5 minutes. Would come back again at an earlier time or a different day.

Being located opposite to the beach and on busy Sunday morning, we were lucky to get a table inside the indoor dining area. Noticed that this cafe is pet-friendly trading strategy, there were many tables accompanied with their pets. Ordered a DIY choices of omelette, a cup of flat white and a freshly squeezed juice. Omelette came in generous portion with our own choice of additional croissant with jam and butter. It looks like the croissant is house-made, which has different texture from the normal. Taste of omelette is good. Flat white of Merlo did not let me down, which was strong enough to pump the caffeine level of my body. Overall experience is fine.Rating 3.5/5
We came here for breakfast mid-week with a Groupon voucher. The café itself doesn’t look like much and ambiance leaves much to be desired. Decor, seating and surrounds are a little tired. The menu has the usual breakfast suspects. My husband chose smoked salmon eggs benedict and I chose the breakfast burrito. Coffees were ok, definitely not the best I’ve had but passable. Breakfasts arrived and the eggs benedict came without the salmon so we had to ask for that. My burrito was very average – tasted like bottled salsa was used which was really disappointing. Service was friendly, food and coffee were ok. I wouldn’t hurry back.
The food is innovative and delicious. I love the play on traditional flavours and the well-rounded menu! Great service and atmosphere. Â The cafe is always clean and consistent visit after visit. I had the breakfast burrito and I haven’t been able to find one better outside of the US! I would definitely come back to eat through their menu!
