We very nearly didn’t make it into Yume – there’s approx. 8 tables and the locals know to book ahead! To start, we shared okonomiyaki and a small portion of the assorted sushi (delicious) and narrowed down the mains to a seafood curry and the ramen. Overall, one of the best Japanese meals we’ve had outside of Asakusa. Service was very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and I only wish we didn’t live so far away.

For a small restaurant the quality of the food and the service is excellent. Cosy place for a enjoyable evening meal. All varieties of Japanese food presented perfectly.

Simple Japanese dishes – nothing flash but they use fresh produce & lots of passion. Service was great as was the Japanese beers. This is only a small joint so don’t expect miracles. The sushi was fresh & made per order.Value for dollar & good sized meals.#facxual_events

This place has great food. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 starts is 1. The atmosphere and 2. The service. Not that there was anything wrong with it. Just not as good as it could be. The food however is amazing. The deep fried bean curd is a stand out along with the soft shell crab. Great food and well priced.

One of the best Miso soup’s I’ve had in ages, plus the vege Gyoza was very tasty. We also had the chicken teriyaki & chicken yakisoba, both had very smoky flavoured chicken & nice fresh ingredients. Great spot for lunch & very relaxed atmosphere. Recommend if your anywhere near Dicky Beach.
