Drove past this caf couple days ago and found that there has been something changed so gave it a go again. Remember that I was not quite impressed on the first visit but the negative feeling has been absolutely erased on the second time. It looks like the caf has been under new management and is running by a friendly gentleman. There are many tables and chairs added under-cover and at the al fresco area. Coffee is the same with Piazza Doro but much better taste and strength. It is good to see a business going well… I think other foodies like Meatballs And Beef Cheeks and Diana will re-visit it soon… Cheers!11 months Rating 3/5Drove past this fruit market one day and discovered that they served coffee as well so promised myself to explore one day. Well, I kept my promise to visit it yesterday morning. Looked very quite in the morning and I was the only customer for coffee. I requested to have a flat white in a cup and it was really the first time that I had flat white in a cup without saucer. However, I was more lucky than Diana because I was served with smile and the coffee was hot.
The Gabba Fruit Market is my go-to for fresh fruit and vegetables, unique specialty imports and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. The friendly and accommodating staff also serve up a decent cup of coffee from 6am, seven days a week. The coffee can be a bit weak, but the staff are eager to please, so don’t be shy asking for a double shot.
I noticed this little coffee place quite by chance as I was shopping for vegetable’s at the outlet behind. Evidently this is part of the same complex. The barista made a decent flat white which had good strength only trouble was it wasn’t hot & when I requested it hotter she just stuck the frother spout into my take away cup & I ended up with a hot not flat white ( half a cup of foam) had to laugh lol!!!
