Lovely location right on the rivers edge at Hamilton. I got an outside table with a peaceful view. The menu is better than average. I had apple pie and did not disappoint. Coffee unfortunately did not get there. Not hot and a little weak. Little overpriced but the tranquil setting made up for it. Service was friendly and fast although it was not busy. Overall a really nice place.
Booked for a surprise family birthday lunch for my Mum.Restaurant was responsive and helpful throughout the booking and planning process. We requested outside seating but as the day was cool and windy the glass doors were closed and it was perfect. Felt like we were outside but we were so comfortable. Lots of space so we could all move around freely to catch-up, take photos etc.Everyone enjoyed their meals which all arrived on time and delivered to our location at time of ordering! There were 22 of us- we were able to pay at the counter – no drama. We cant thank the wonderful staff enough- they even went out to che k on my cousins dog sitting quietly in the park.Just the perfect place for a family lunch.I could not fault anything.Thank you all do so much! Cheers.
Decides stop by here for breakfast and enjoy the great view. Ordered the egg benedict with salmon which was really nice. Coffee was decent, medium strength. The only thing i would suggest is to eat inside for breakfast, i got attacked by midgies and had to eat my breakfast really quickly, which did effect my experience. I would go back, bit just eat inside.
What a lovely venue. On the river, very private, lots of parking … They opened just about their whole front wall, which is windows. Fish of the day special was amazing and the staff friendly. The coffee was REALLY good. I believe Neelam was the fantastic barista I met. I can’t fault my experience here and will return.
We happened to come to this place as we were waiting for the ferry. A friend of mine and I ordered some coffees to start with at the counter and waited. I saw some coffees sitting at the counter for a long while and also saw how the staff would pass by the counter and not even touch the coffees. I went there and asked if those coffees were ours and the lady said oh yeah yeah I will bring them to you after a while of being at the counter and the place was not busy at all to excuse this. The food was good, My friends ordered the schnitzel which I thought it was very tasty and it went well with the apple sauce and the salad. There was a barramundi special on the board and I ordered this. A piece of salmon came to the table instead which I had had the day before and I was not very happy to have it again. I didn’t have much time to wait for another meal to come so I ate it. I was not very happy about these two things as the place was not busy at all and there were quite a few people working there.
The cafe is located right on the river bank and houses a great view as you enjoy your meals. The place emanated a positive and relaxed vibe and we enjoyed our time there. We ordered the Maple Waffles and the Corn Fritters. The waffles were crispy on the outside and light on the inside just as a waffle should be. The entire ensemble with fried banana, pecans was quite palatable and worth the money we paid for it. The fritters were a bit doughy but had great flavour and when combined with the haloumi and poached eggs, it was quite nice and enjoyable. The service was great and even though busy, we were served timely. Definitely will be revisiting.
Lovely setting with relaxed feel. Great place to have something to eat at the end of the line on the citycat.Personally thought the calamari was too salty but the pumkin salad was really nice. Would definitely eat there again.
